The Finish Line
Pacific City, OR– It seems that milestones always come in twos or threes on this trip. Yesterday, we hit 3,000 miles on the odometer and saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time. More importantly, we reached our fundraising goal of $10,000 for CF research. So we just wanted to send out a quick post, to say THANK YOU to all of our friends, family and supporters who donated. Seriously, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you and THANK YOU again. We have been deeply touched by your generosity. We have two more days of riding up the Oregon coast to get to Astoria, but it’s going to feel like we are riding on the clouds from knowing what we’ve accomplished. (Well, it may feel more like riding inside the clouds from the thick fog, but still…)

Fantastic!! You guys have done it! What a thrill to us armchair cyclists. Thanks for sharing your adventure. I know it added another burden to your trip but I for one am grateful to you for sharing.

BallyHoo! Youve traversed the great midwest and westwest, doesnt the eastcoast seem a little smaller now? We drove to El Dorado (pronounced Do-ray-do) Kansas to pick up our Springer Spaniel puppy. He misses the beef! Hope you have a good landing - in all the places youre about to land in.
Hey,
My name is Ryan Burkett. Recently I have organized a bicycle ride from New York to California to help raise money for a 5 month old girl, Sophia Gaynor, here in New York who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I just found out about your journey today, reading about it is wonderful. However, I have some more questions, specifically about the winds and about getting equipment donated for the trip. We are working with a national foundation and have been in a couple local newspapers which has been great for people making donations to find a cure for Sophia, but I think it may take more publicity for someone to help us with equipment. Thank you for your help. If you’d prefer to call I can be reached at (516) 524-3305.
